Managing Consultant - Public Service Defence (Defence Consulting): Leading complex consulting engagements for defence organizations and developing strategic solutions to improve policy, capabilities, operations, and mission success with an accent on client advisory, capability procurement, innovation, and readiness enhancement. Focus on delivering large-scale projects, building commercial propositions, developing client accounts, and leading multidisciplinary teams.
Location: Utrecht, Netherlands. Hybrid working requires at least 2 days per week in the office or at a client site, with assignments sometimes requiring up to 5 days per week on a client site.
Salary: Competitive salary, plus performance bonus.

What you will do
- Lead consulting engagements with defence organizations from conception through implementation.
- Provide strategic advice on defence policy, capability development, operational efficiency, and mission success.
- Analyze client requirements, challenges, and opportunities and develop tailored solutions.
- Lead large-scale and complex projects within mixed consulting and client teams.
- Develop market offerings, propositions, and new and existing client accounts.
- Build stakeholder relationships, contribute to thought leadership, and mentor junior consultants.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of defence industry experience, preferably with a Ministry of Defence or management consultancy firm.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience leading consulting engagements and delivering measurable results.
- Strong understanding of defence policy, strategy, operations, regulations, and frameworks.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, leadership, and team management skills.
- Dutch nationality is required for national security vetting. Full right to live and work in the Netherlands is required; visa sponsorship is not available. Dutch at B1 level and fluent English are required.
