Director, Data Solutions Architect

Salary: $150,000–$185,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Design business-aligned, end-to-end data solutions covering source systems, integration, storage, consumption, and controls.
• Translate business priorities, product requirements, and data needs into scalable solution architecture approaches.
• Define target-state architecture patterns, data flows, and integration approaches for reporting, operational, and AI-enabled use cases.
• Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, data architects, engineering teams, and governance stakeholders.
• Evaluate design options, dependencies, trade-offs, roadmap priorities, and implementation feasibility.
• Provide technical leadership during delivery and drive consistency in architecture documentation and governance practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or related technology roles.
• Experience designing end-to-end data solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience assessing requirements, defining target-state solutions, and supporting delivery execution with business stakeholders.
• Experience in financial services, asset management, or another regulated and complex industry.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise data architecture, integration patterns, data platforms, reporting ecosystems, security, risk management, compliance, and data governance.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional influence skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-based data modernization and enterprise platform transformation initiatives.
• Experience designing solutions for self-service analytics, advanced analytics, or AI-enabled use cases.
• Familiarity with asset management, investment, portfolio, finance, or operational data domains.
• Experience establishing reusable architecture patterns, reference designs, and solution governance practices.
