AVP, Business Analytics & AI

What you will do

• Execute the enterprise data, analytics, and AI strategy through roadmap delivery, portfolio management, prioritization, value tracking, and benefits realization.
• Lead analytics products and AI-enabled decision-support solutions, including dashboards, models, lifecycle management, monitoring, drift detection, and value tracking.
• Define and monitor KPIs for adoption, quality, timeliness, and business impact, and present insights to senior leadership.
• Operationalize data governance, privacy, stewardship, AI risk controls, and compliant documentation with Legal, Compliance, and Risk.
• Partner with Architecture and technology teams on scalable data architecture, integration, interoperability, security, retention, recovery, and continuity.
• Lead and develop staff, guide investments in talent and platforms, oversee vendors, and promote enterprise data and AI fluency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business, Statistics, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 15 years of progressive experience in data, analytics, AI, or technology, including 7 years of formal leadership experience.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale data, analytics, or AI initiatives with measurable business outcomes.
• Experience in property and casualty insurance and collaboration with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Audit stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of data architecture, data governance, advanced analytics, AI/ML, and analytics tools.
• Hands-on familiarity with Databricks, AWS, Cliz, Guidewire, and P&C platform integrations.

Nice to have

• Experience operationalizing generative or agentic AI in regulated environments, including prompt engineering, evaluation, RAG, knowledge management, content moderation, and cost and latency optimization.
• Experience implementing NAIC/NIST-aligned AI governance and model risk management.
• Experience shipping AI at scale in underwriting, claims, pricing experimentation, or frontline knowledge management.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
