Lab Microbiologist

Location: Onsite in Nubariyah, West Nubariyah, Egypt

What you will do

• Perform daily microbiological analyses of in-process samples and final products to monitor food safety.
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain culture media for the hygienic indicator laboratory.
• Prepare seed cultures and support fermentation and seed culture injection activities.
• Conduct environmental monitoring through air sampling and swabbing of personnel and machine parts.
• Perform microbial counts and examinations to detect and identify pathogenic bacteria.
• Follow up on laboratory equipment calibration, validation, maintenance, and data release.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or IMAC.
• 0–2 years of hands-on microbiological laboratory operations experience; food industry experience is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in food microbiology testing, including culture preparation and analysis.
• Working knowledge of GMP, GLP, and HACCP standards and regulatory compliance.
• Practical experience with environmental sampling, swabbing, pathogenic bacteria detection, equipment calibration, and validation.
• Strong laboratory documentation, data management, teamwork, and communication skills.
