Team Leader – Driver Training

Location: Sydney Olympic Park, Australia. Full-time role with essential weekend availability, ideally both weekend days every weekend or every second weekend.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop driving instructors, facilitators, and trainers.
• Build workforce capability, engagement, and performance through coaching, ride-alongs, and development activities.
• Coordinate day-to-day delivery of Driver Training, Safer Drivers Course, and Corporate Driver Training programs across NSW.
• Maintain safety, compliance, and service quality standards across training activities.
• Use performance data and operational insights to improve efficiency and workforce utilization.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to align workforce resources with customer demand and business priorities, while supporting training delivery when required.

Requirements

• Experience leading operational, training, education, logistics, or service delivery teams.
• Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport – Car Driving Instruction).
• At least 5 years of people leadership experience focused on coaching and capability development.
• Experience managing workforce performance, utilization, scheduling, and operational delivery.
• Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and risk management in a regulated environment, plus the ability to analyze performance data and act on insights.
• Current Class C Driver Licence with a satisfactory driving record, current NSW Driving Instructor Licence, and current NSW Working With Children Check required.

Nice to have

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE).
• Experience in driver training, transport, field operations, or workplace learning.
• Experience with workforce planning, operational improvement, business transformation, digital learning platforms, or technology-enabled training solutions.
