Senior Cyber Defense Incident Responder (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Lead complex cyber incident investigations and act as a senior technical escalation point.
• Drive threat hunting, detection engineering, security automation, and monitoring initiatives.
• Advance AI and agentic security capabilities within Security Operations.
• Build and maintain runbooks and improve SIEM and SOAR use cases in a global cloud-based environment.
• Partner with technology, business, incident response, threat intelligence, and engineering teams.
• Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 analysts while improving operational metrics, processes, and security effectiveness.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in cyber or information security, including at least 5 years of recent experience in Cyber Security Operations or Cyber Incident Response.
• Experience with complex enterprises and global organizations; insurance or financial services experience is strongly encouraged.
• Expertise in cyberattacks, cyber incident handling, security operations processes, and cyber kill chain principles.
• Strong information technology skills and experience coordinating technical teams and individual resources.
• Ability to manage multiple technical and non-technical workstreams in high-pressure environments and communicate with stakeholders at all management levels.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
