Project Manager (Automotive)

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; full-time on-site role

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional projects from initiation and concept through production launch and operational handoff.
• Define project scope, objectives, plans, resources, schedules, budgets, and implementation processes.
• Coordinate engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, commercial, customer, and supplier stakeholders.
• Track project performance, financial forecasts, risks, changes, testing, documentation, training, and launch readiness.
• Manage customer relationships, communicate project status, and present schedules and decisions to stakeholders.
• Escalate issues and drive accountability without direct reporting authority.

Requirements

• 5+ years of project, program, product development, or launch management experience in automotive, electronics, industrial manufacturing, mechatronics, or a related engineering environment.
• Experience leading cross-functional product development projects from concept through production launch and working with automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, or complex industrial customers.
• Strong understanding of New Product Development, industrialization, and production launch processes.
• Experience managing scope, schedules, budgets, project financial performance, risks, changes, forecasts, and customer commitments.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organization, planning, decision-making, and collaboration skills.
• University degree or equivalent relevant experience; proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with APQP, PPAP, customer milestone reviews, IATF 16949, and customer-specific automotive quality requirements.
• Experience with engineering change management, PLM, configuration management, and requirements traceability.
• Technical degree in electrical, mechanical, electronics, industrial engineering, or a related discipline.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Jira, Agile PPM, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid product development methods.
