Talent Development Specialist

Location: Newport, Oregon, USA; onsite

Salary: USD 23–24 per hour

What you will do

• Manage a participant caseload, providing counseling, mentoring, case management, and ongoing employment support.
• Assess competencies, work history, education, skills, and barriers to employment, then help participants identify solutions.
• Create individualized employment plans covering job search, education, job readiness, retention, and advancement goals.
• Connect participants with training, education, employment services, employers, and community resources.
• Monitor attendance, progress, job retention, assignments, and follow-up outreach throughout the program cycle.
• Maintain accurate participant assessments, service records, databases, and paper files, including notifications about changes in employment.

Requirements

• Related associate degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience.
• Related professional experience; one to three years in workforce development or related programs is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and familiarity with the communities, local needs, and available resources.
• Ability to work with people from varied cultural, language, educational, and economic backgrounds.
• Ability to work onsite in Newport, Oregon, USA.
