R&D Chemist - UV Liquid Chemist

Location: West Chicago, Illinois, USA; onsite, full-time

Salary: $84,000–$100,000 annually

What you will do

• Troubleshoot existing technologies and assist with customer challenges.
• Develop new UV Flexo and UV Screen Ink technologies based on customer needs.
• Contribute to EB Liquid and UV/EB Coatings projects.
• Evaluate raw materials and optimize formulations for cost savings.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and publish project reports for sales and customers.
• Maintain laboratory equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or an equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of job-related experience.
• Experience with ink and coating formulation.
• Strong mathematics and science skills, effective recordkeeping, and clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to interpret data and draw effective conclusions.
• Post-offer, pre-employment drug screening, physical examination, and background check required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of UV/EB liquid inks and coatings.
• Formulation and application experience.
• SAP experience.
