Location: New York, New York; work from the New York office
Salary: $190,000β$250,000 base salary per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus

What you will do
- Lead the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, implementation, and architecture.
- Build scalable portfolio management and trading solutions for the Credit Trading Desk.
- Provide technical leadership across architecture, development, testing, observability, and production support.
- Design and deliver reliable trading systems supporting market data ingestion, order management, execution, and post-trade analytics.
- Collaborate with investment professionals, business partners, and senior stakeholders to align technical solutions with evolving requirements.
- Mentor engineers, lead design discussions and code reviews, and establish engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in trading, market technology, or other high-performance, data-intensive environments.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying production-grade trading systems focused on reliability, fault tolerance, and maintainability.
- Strong knowledge of transaction cost analysis, P&L attribution, risk factor modeling, order routing, market structure, liquidity dynamics, and exchange protocols.
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture, event sourcing, microservices, distributed systems, and streaming platforms such as Aeron, Kafka, or Pulsar.
- Experience with performance optimization, asynchronous processing, caching, data pipeline tuning, and architectural trade-offs involving latency, throughput, and complexity.
