Forensic Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $49,996.80–$290,004.00 per year

What you will do

• Exploit captured media to derive useful intelligence.
• Investigate computer security incidents and support mitigation of network vulnerabilities.
• Apply expertise in computer forensics, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, programming, and systems engineering.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph are required.
• Bachelor’s degree in network engineering, systems engineering, information technology, computer science, computer forensics, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in computer or information systems design and development, programming, computer or network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, or systems engineering.
• Skill Level I: bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or associate degree plus 4 years of related experience.
• Skill Level II: bachelor’s degree plus 5 years, master’s degree plus 3 years, doctoral degree plus 2 years, or associate degree plus 7 years of relevant experience.
• Skill Level III: bachelor’s degree plus 8 years, master’s degree plus 6 years, doctoral degree plus 4 years, or associate degree plus 10 years of relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Completion of relevant military training, such as the Joint Cyber Analysis Course (JCAC); the 24-week course may count as six months of experience.
