Location: Lisle, Illinois, USA; hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week, Monday–Thursday

Salary: $100,171.61–$181,034.70 per year

What you will do

• Lead the Applied AI portfolio across no-code, low-code, medium-code, full-code agent, and robotic process automation delivery PODs.
• Set platform architecture standards using Vertex AI Agent Engine, ADK, MCP, and multi-model orchestration across Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, and Microsoft.
• Own Responsible AI governance, including risk tiering, FERPA/HIPAA/GLBA review gates, red teaming, model cards, bias evaluation, and release readiness.
• Manage partner relationships, statements of work, vendor scorecards, architecture reviews, and backlog prioritization.
• Oversee evaluation infrastructure, including golden datasets, regression suites, LLM-as-judge scoring, human review, and online quality monitoring.
• Lead the existing AI and RPA teams and hire a Principal AI/Agent Architect, Responsible AI/Risk & Safety Lead, and AI Evaluation Engineer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology leadership and 5+ years leading AI/ML, data, or platform engineering teams.
• Experience managing outsourced or statement-of-work-based delivery partners in complex, regulated, or matrixed environments.
• Deep expertise in agentic AI architectures, Vertex AI Agent Engine, ADK, MCP, and multi-model orchestration.
• Experience implementing Responsible AI governance, model-risk controls, evaluation, red teaming, and regulatory review gates.
• Strong financial, vendor, stakeholder, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or AI, or an MBA.
• Cloud or AI certification, such as Google Cloud Professional ML Engineer or AWS/Azure AI Engineer Associate.
• Experience in higher education or healthcare.
