QNX Senior Quality Manager (Embedded Software)

Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; full-time onsite role

Salary: $96,000–$126,000 annually, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Variable Incentive Pay program

What you will do

• Drive continual improvement of the QNX Quality Management System and Cybersecurity Management System.
• Support compliance and certification activities for ISO 9001, ISO/SAE 21434, ISO 26262, IEC 61508, IEC 62304, ASPICE, and related standards.
• Plan, execute, and document audits, gap analyses, compliance reviews, and process assessments.
• Identify risks and compliance gaps, then drive corrective and preventive actions across the product lifecycle.
• Maintain traceability and compliance evidence from requirements through design, implementation, verification, validation, and release.
• Advise engineering and product teams and support customer-facing audits, supplier engagements, certification bodies, and external auditors.

Requirements

• Experience in software process and quality management within embedded software environments, preferably in safety-critical industries.
• Hands-on experience with ISO 9001 and one or more of ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434, IEC 61508, IEC 62304, ASPICE, SEI-CMMI, or DO-178C.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycles, configuration management, requirements management, traceability, and process quality assurance.
• Experience conducting internal and external audits and supporting certification activities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, attention to detail, and influencing skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, quality management, applied mathematics, or a related technical discipline.

Nice to have

• Software engineering experience across requirements, design, development, testing, or systems engineering.
• Process modeling, quality measurement, and traceability management experience in functional safety.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or experience with RCA, 5D, or 8D methods.
• Experience with JAMA, Jira, GitHub, and Confluence.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ASPICE assessor, or TÜV Functional Safety Engineer certification.
