BSN Instructor

Location: Provo, Utah, USA; campus-based, full-time position.

What you will do

• Prepare, administer, and grade examinations and final course evaluations in collaboration with other instructors.
• Teach nursing theory using adult-learning principles and online learning activities.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences in assigned healthcare facilities.
• Observe, instruct, and evaluate clinical performance against established learning outcomes.
• Maintain attendance, skills check-off, clinical, and student records, and submit program reports.
• Participate in faculty meetings, committees, student advising, faculty orientation, and instructional improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Active, valid registered nursing license issued by a State Board of Registered Nursing.
• Master of Nursing or a higher degree from an accredited college or university, including coursework in nursing, education, administration, OB, pediatrics, or psychiatry.
• At least four years of direct patient-care experience as a registered nurse.
• At least one year of clinical experience within the last five years; clinical teaching counts toward direct patient care.
• Clinical expertise in psychiatric nursing, geriatrics, medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics, OB-Gyn, or mental health.
• Previous teaching experience is not required; faculty development training is provided.
