TL;DR
Adult Career Advisor (Workforce Development): Counseling job seekers on career planning, job search strategies, training needs, and barriers to employment with an accent on case management, customer engagement, and workforce development services. Focus on facilitating job-readiness workshops, reviewing resumes, tracking participant progress, and connecting customers with appropriate resources and training.
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada, USA; onsite at Clark County Library District, Job Connect, and/or designated EmployNV workforce development hubs. Travel within Clark County may be required.
Salary: $25.00 per hour

What you will do
- Counsel job seekers on career goals, job search strategies, training options, and barriers to employment.
- Manage customer relationships, monitor participation, address concerns, and maintain timely case notes.
- Assess training needs, connect customers with community resources, and support successful employment outcomes.
- Facilitate job-readiness and job-search workshops and provide motivational support during the job search process.
- Review resumes and eligibility documentation, maintain accurate records, and document customer success stories.
- Help maintain career advisement procedures, support team training, and assist with daily operations and special projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, marketing, business, human resources, or a related field, plus two or more years of relevant experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience is also accepted.
- Experience providing career counseling in a high-volume human services or workforce development environment.
- Strong communication, organization, computer, customer service, and documentation skills.
- Ability to motivate individuals, present workshops, and support customers facing barriers to employment.
- Knowledge of job-search strategies, community resources, referral networks, and local workforce needs.
- Ability to work first shift, work overtime when required, and travel within Clark County.
