What you will do
- Prepare structured material datasets for AI and machine learning applications.
- Improve data pipelines, feature engineering approaches, and data representations.
- Develop and evaluate predictive models for material properties and related use cases.
- Establish standards for model validation, interpretability, robustness, uncertainty, and reproducibility.
- Document architectures, modeling decisions, assumptions, limitations, and validation strategies.
- Build scalable AI-enabled material data systems, infrastructure, agent tools, and LLM-based workflow automations.
Requirements
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Strong programming skills and experience applying machine learning in real-world settings, especially with structured or industrial datasets.
- Solid knowledge of feature engineering, model validation, and handling small or complex datasets.
- Ability to assess model assumptions, limitations, robustness, generalization, and uncertainty.
- Experience with data pipelines and data preparation.
- Familiarity with modern AI tooling, including LLMs, APIs, and basic automation.
Nice to have
- Experience with scientific, engineering, or physics-related data.
- Exposure to AI-enabled material intelligence systems.
