TL;DR
Sr. HR Generalist Employee Relations NAM (Employee Relations): Leading complex workplace investigations and resolving sensitive employee matters across the US and Canada with an accent on labor-law compliance, risk assessment, and consistent outcomes. Focus on analyzing case and exit-interview data, advising leaders, and developing compliant employee-relations policies and practices.

Location: Av. El Dorado, Bogotá, Colombia; hybrid schedule, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What you will do

  • Manage and resolve complex employee-relations matters, including complaints, grievances, conflicts, misconduct concerns, and policy violations.
  • Conduct objective workplace investigations by gathering facts, interviewing relevant parties, reviewing documentation, and preparing findings and recommendations.
  • Partner with HR, Legal, and business leaders to assess risk, comply with employment legislation, and support defensible decisions.
  • Review and recommend updates to employee-relations policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Analyze case data, exit-interview feedback, and workplace trends to identify root causes and propose proactive solutions.
  • Follow up on pre-employment background checks using an adjudication matrix.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner focused on employee relations, preferably in a multinational or shared-services environment.
  • Experience with the US and/or Canadian employment markets is required.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • English at B2 level or higher is required to interpret legal and contractual documents.
  • Knowledge of Canadian and US workplace practices, strong problem-solving skills, discretion with confidential information, and careful time management.
  • Availability to work extra hours when necessary and accommodate time-zone differences.

  • French proficiency for operations in Canada.
