Computer Network Defense Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: In office in Annapolis Junction, MD; Dayton, OH; Honolulu, HI; San Antonio, TX; or Bluffdale, UT.

Salary: $49,996.80–$290,004.00 per year.

What you will do

• Analyze intrusion detection data, firewall events, network traffic, and host system logs to identify vulnerabilities and cyber events.
• Investigate, monitor, and respond to cyber incidents across enterprise and operational environments.
• Develop mitigations that strengthen network defenses and protect infrastructure devices and systems.
• Work with wired and wireless networks, cellular transport, video conferencing platforms, and supporting hardware and software.
• Support computer network defense operations through analysis, investigation, and incident response.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph are required.
• Experience in network or system administration is required.
• Experience with intrusion detection systems, firewalls, network and host logs, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance, or systems engineering.
• Degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Information Assurance, Computer Security, or a related technical field.
• Education and experience requirements vary by level: from an associate degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or a bachelor's degree plus 2 years for Level 1, up to a doctorate plus 7 years or equivalent experience for Level 4.

Nice to have

• JCAC graduate status or certifications such as CEH, CFR, CySA+, GCIH, or CNDSP.
• Foreign language experience may be considered toward applicable experience requirements.
