Salary: NZ$110,700–NZ$149,800 per annum. Appointments are typically made within the target range of NZ$118,501–NZ$136,700 per annum.

What you will do
- Lead the development and implementation of digital and Generative AI communications capability across the Communications function.
- Identify opportunities to improve communications effectiveness and audience engagement through digital tools and AI-enabled workflows.
- Develop practical guidance, standards, training, and resources for responsible Generative AI adoption.
- Advise and coach communications and digital leadership teams on AI, workflow optimisation, content technologies, and AI-augmented communications.
- Monitor emerging trends in AI, digital communications, content discovery, and audience behaviour.
- Contribute to innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement across the Communications function.
Requirements
- Significant experience in digital communications, content operations, digital publishing, or a related communications environment.
- Practical experience applying Generative AI or emerging technologies in communications, content, or publishing environments.
- Ability to translate complex digital and AI concepts into practical, audience-focused guidance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability across complex organisations.
- Curiosity, adaptability, commitment to continuous improvement, and a collaborative leadership style.
