Personal Financial Counselor (South Korea)

Location: OCONUS – U.S. Army Garrison Casey, South Korea

Salary: $58,440–$93,500 per year

What you will do

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
• Help participants establish spending plans for extended absences and other military lifecycle events.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials.
• Coordinate and deliver financial management classes, workshops, briefings, and seminars.
• Provide authorized virtual counseling through secure online chat, video, or other electronic communication channels.
• Coordinate with installation and military branch points of contact, communicate with leadership, follow Department of Defense duty-to-warn protocols, and participate in supervision, training, and quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an associate degree plus four years of experience or a high school diploma plus six years of experience may be considered instead.
• At least three years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizenship and fluent English are required.
• Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest process.
• Required certification: AFC, CFP, or ChFC; a valid in-state driver’s license is also required.
