What you will do
- Coordinate independent engineering support across technical due diligence, construction monitoring, operations monitoring, and reporting activities.
- Develop program plans, integrated master schedules, resource plans, status reports, and governance materials.
- Review project documentation, evaluate technical and commercial interfaces, validate assumptions, and identify risks and mitigations.
- Support conditions precedent, disbursement readiness, draw package, certification, and issue-closure reviews.
- Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders.
- Prepare traceable, technically defensible reports and decision-support materials for DOE, LPO, lenders, and program governance stakeholders.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in energy infrastructure, engineering advisory, project finance, program management, or independent engineering.
- At least 5 years leading multidisciplinary teams, client delivery, and senior stakeholder engagement for federal, lender, or owner-side programs.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, finance, business, or a related field.
- Experience with independent engineering review, technical due diligence, risk assessment, data room review, information request tracking, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong technical judgment, analytical rigor, documentation discipline, schedule management, and ability to translate technical evidence into financing, compliance, and risk implications.
- Ability to work remotely within the United States and attend on-site meetings or project-site activities nationwide.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree, Professional Engineer license, PMP, PgMP, or equivalent senior delivery credential.
- Experience across oil and gas, power, utilities, transmission, grid modernization, energy storage, or related infrastructure.
- Familiarity with DOE Loan Programs Office documentation and lender-style independent engineering engagements.
