TL;DR
Lead Labor Relations (Healthcare) (Labor Relations): Leading complex labor relations initiatives and high-risk workforce matters, including collective bargaining agreement administration, grievance resolution, arbitration preparation, and workforce restructuring compliance with an accent on labor risk mitigation and senior-level advisory support. Focus on negotiating and administering collective bargaining agreements, resolving grievances, preparing arbitrations, and influencing senior leaders without formal authority.

Location: Remote within the United States, with reasonable commuting distance to the Chicago office and on-site meetings when required.

Base pay: $92,700–$167,500 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

  • Lead complex labor relations initiatives and high-risk workforce matters supporting enterprise business strategies.
  • Administer collective bargaining agreements and support negotiations.
  • Resolve grievances and prepare for arbitration proceedings.
  • Support workforce restructuring compliance and labor risk mitigation.
  • Provide technical leadership and execution support across the Labor Relations function.
  • Influence senior leaders without formal supervisory authority.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business and 7 years of Labor or Workforce/Employee Relations experience, or 11 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of employee-management relations principles and employment laws, including the NLRA and NLRB processes.
  • Extensive experience with labor relations principles, collective bargaining, contract administration, and arbitrations.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders without formal authority.
  • Ability to attend on-site meetings when required.

Nice to have

  • Experience serving as a spokesperson in negotiations.
  • Grievance and arbitration experience in unionized environments.
  • Experience supporting workforce restructuring and classification impact analysis.
  • Experience in multi-site or multi-union environments.
