Full-Stack Developer (TypeScript/Convex)

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; remote

Compensation: $9/hour

hirify.global is a startup building backend systems and mobile product features within the Kosher Tech department.

What you will do

• Architect and build scalable backend systems using TypeScript and Convex.
• Design APIs and data models and implement business logic and core infrastructure.
• Integrate supervision tools and support MDM-related backend logic.
• Ensure backend performance, reliability, and security.
• Contribute to React Native and Expo-based mobile applications when needed.
• Collaborate with mobile and product teams to ship features end-to-end.

Requirements

• Strong production-level backend development experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript is required.
• Experience with, or willingness to work deeply with, Convex.
• Solid understanding of backend architecture and API design.
• Experience integrating third-party systems and services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in ambiguous, from-scratch environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with React Native and mobile systems.
• Experience with Go.
• Understanding of MDM systems.
• Experience working in early-stage startups.
