TL;DR
Fit Out Quantity Surveyor (Commercial Construction): Managing estimating, tendering, valuations, variations, cost reconciliation, and final accounts for office fit-outs, new builds, and educational facilities with an accent on Australian construction practices and digital cost-management tools. Focus on measuring digital drawings, comparing subcontractor pricing, verifying site progress, tracking project profitability, and negotiating final contractor accounts.

Location: Remote within Metro Manila, Philippines. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM AEST.

Salary: PHP 90,000–PHP 140,000 per month.

What you will do

  • Measure digital drawings and prepare bills of quantities for commercial fit-outs and other high-specification projects.
  • Manage tendering by sending BOQs to specialist subcontractors and comparing prices.
  • Conduct site visits to verify progress and support accurate payment valuations.
  • Calculate the cost impact of design, material, and layout variations.
  • Prepare monthly Cost Value Reconciliation reports to monitor profitability and identify cost risks.
  • Lead negotiations on final accounts with contractors.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in the Australian construction industry is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian construction codes, market rates, and subcontractor networks.
  • Experience delivering office fit-outs, new builds, and school or educational projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, CostX, or AI-assisted take-off tools such as Togal.AI.
  • Expert use of Procore and Microsoft Project, plus advanced Excel skills for data modelling and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, or digital tendering platforms such as Causeway and ProEst.
