Computational Neuroscientist (AI)

Location: Primary location is London, UK, with on-site presence in London or San Francisco also available. Remote and hybrid arrangements are supported.

Salary: $150,000 USD in the US or approximately £75,000 GBP in London, plus early-stage equity of up to 1–2%.

hirify.global is an early-stage company developing a wearable AI product that quantifies emotional states in real time.

What you will do

• Develop and iterate on inference models that quantify emotional states from wearable sensor data.
• Translate biometric and audio signals into emotional intelligence insights.
• Bridge computational neuroscience research and production machine learning systems.
• Take models from experimentation and validation through deployment and productionisation.
• Contribute across the full machine learning lifecycle in a founding technical role.

Requirements

• PhD in computational neuroscience, cognitive science, active inference, or a closely related field.
• 2–7 years of experience bridging neuroscience research and production machine learning systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python for machine learning model development and deployment.
• Experience working across scientific research and engineering, including shipping production systems.
• US work authorisation is required; visa transfers may be considered, but new sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Background in active inference or probabilistic and generative models of brain function.
