Focus on diagnosing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, PLC, and automation issues, implementing corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement across manufacturing teams.
Location: Onsite in De Soto, Kansas, United States. All candidates must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction.

produces lithium-ion batteries and is expanding a large-scale battery manufacturing facility supporting sustainable energy and electric vehicles.
What you will do
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, recover, and validate automated manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision.
- Diagnose complex mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues using technical drawings and precision measurement tools.
- Lead PDCA-based problem solving and root cause investigations to reduce defects, downtime, and recurring equipment failures.
- Analyze equipment and production data using Excel, Tableau, JMP, MES, or equivalent systems.
- Install and validate equipment modifications, engineering changes, and process improvements.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring to Equipment Specialist I employees and operational personnel.
Requirements
- Associate degree in electronic technology, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, manufacturing technology, or a related technical field; relevant experience may substitute.
- At least 4 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, equipment support, automation, mechatronics, or a related technical area.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems, including automated manufacturing equipment and vision systems.
- Working knowledge of PLC systems, controls software, mechanical and electrical drawings, MES, Tableau, and data analysis tools such as Excel or JMP.
- Knowledge of PDCA, root cause analysis, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Working-level English proficiency is required, and unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology, manufacturing technology, industrial technology, or a related field.
- QET or equivalent technical certification, Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher, and root cause analysis training.
- Experience with Sysmac, Omron PLC software, CAD, vision systems, fabrication, machining, welding, or Python.
- Six or more years of manufacturing or industrial equipment experience.
