Assistant Area Manager (Short-Term Rentals)

Location: St. Augustine, Florida, United States. On-site role requiring residence within a short drive of the designated vacation rental properties, frequent in-market travel, weekend and holiday availability, and rotating after-hours on-call support.

Salary: USD 60,000–65,000 per year plus performance bonus.

What you will do

• Support the Area Manager with daily operations and act as market lead and personnel manager when required.
• Communicate with property owners, review owner distribution statements, and coordinate with internal departments.
• Monitor guest and homeowner issues, ensuring timely and high-quality resolutions.
• Inspect properties, identify quality concerns, and coordinate corrective actions, housekeeping, and routine maintenance.
• Maintain appropriate inventories of consumables and linens across the market.
• Train, coach, and evaluate field operations personnel while supporting on-site operations across local properties.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hospitality or customer-facing experience.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Salesforce knowledge is beneficial.
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable snow-ready vehicle.
• Ability to spend most working time standing, walking, and driving between properties.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, stoop, and occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs.
• Strong self-management, prioritization, responsiveness via Slack and email, and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Vacation rental industry experience.
• Hospitality or real estate experience.
• Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation.
