Field Operations Program Director (California Connect): Managing statewide field operations, contractor resources, staffing, budgets, compliance, and stakeholder communications for the California Connect program with an accent on government contracting, community partnerships, and services for deaf and hard-of-hearing people. Focus on leading large distributed teams, meeting SLAs and regulatory requirements, coordinating CPUC stakeholders, and scaling community-driven initiatives.
Location: Fully remote in California; travel up to 25% may be required.
Salary: $100,000β$110,000 per year.

What you will do
- Lead the execution and overall management of the California Connect Field Operations Team.
- Manage assigned staff and contractors, including hiring, training, supervision, performance, and contract compliance.
- Coordinate with the CPUC Management Team, DDTP vendors, community partners, service partners, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee program staffing, budgets, operational requirements, service-level agreements, reporting, risks, and issues.
- Develop program goals and tracking methods to meet funding and stakeholder requirements.
- Represent CSD in public, community, advocacy, and partnership activities supporting access to services.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Social Sciences, Public Relations, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience leading a statewide program within the past 10 years.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Field Operations Program Manager or Project Director, including procurement, regulatory compliance, finance, and operations management.
- At least 5 years of experience supervising teams of 25 or more on statewide programs.
- At least 5 years of experience managing client and stakeholder relationships and communicating progress to executive-level audiences.
- At least 3 years of experience using an ERP system and the ability to communicate effectively using American Sign Language.
