What you will do

  • Coordinate residents' daily clinical care needs.
  • Complete nursing assessments and implement care plans.
  • Make clinical decisions and respond to changing resident needs.
  • Build relationships with residents, families and allied health professionals.
  • Lead, coach and support Healthcare Assistants and the wider care team.
  • Maintain clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement.

Requirements

  • Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate (APC) required.
  • Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand required.
  • Previous nursing experience, ideally in aged care or a similar clinical environment.
  • Experience with electronic clinical documentation systems.
  • Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, communication and leadership skills.
  • Availability for rostered shifts, including weekends and nights when required.

  • InterRAI experience.
