Senior Data Architect (Fintech)

Location: Remote work is available, with a preference for onsite attendance one day per week at offices in Boston or New York. Listed locations include the United States and Germany.

Salary: US$180,000–US$220,000 per year; an alternative compensation range of €50,000–€60,000 per year is also listed. Additional compensation includes a 10% bonus and stock options.

What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines with Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.
• Develop solutions using Azure and Snowflake cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver production-grade data solutions.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and maintain data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Implement ML Ops practices for the deployment and monitoring of machine learning models.
• Lead enterprise data projects within a financial services environment.

Requirements

• Advanced SQL experience, including performance tuning.
• Expertise with Snowflake data warehousing or Azure Data Lakes.
• Previous experience in financial services, such as banking, insurance, or fintech.

Nice to have

• Understanding of ML Ops processes, tools, and model lifecycle management.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and PySpark.
