Software Engineer Intern (Networking)

Location: Torrance, California, United States. ITAR eligibility is required: U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent residence, protected individual status, or eligibility to obtain the necessary U.S. government authorizations.

What you will do

• Define secure, scalable, simple, and extensible interfaces for payload data transfer.
• Support the design and implementation of a data plane connecting on-premises and cloud environments for low-latency, high-throughput distribution.
• Develop, test, and maintain data movement and processing pipelines for large data volumes.
• Contribute to observable, fault-tolerant, and reliable systems that meet uptime requirements.
• Work with networking devices and protocols and collaborate with software, network, and FPGA engineers.
• Optimize hybrid network and software deployments for performance and scalability.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Rust, C++, or Golang.
• Interest in systems programming, networking protocols such as TCP/IP, and distributed systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn in a collaborative environment.
• Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Exposure to continuous integration, deployment, containerization, Docker, or Terraform.
