Sequencing R&D Technician (Genomics)

Location: Onsite at 12701 Plantside Drive, Louisville, KY, USA; candidates should live within a commutable distance.

What you will do

• Process human, plant, seed, animal, bacterial, fungal, and probiotic samples for developmental research.
• Perform DNA and RNA extraction, quantification, gel electrophoresis, and molecular assays including TaqMan, KASP, and RT-PCR.
• Run and optimize wet-lab next-generation sequencing and tGBS library preparation workflows.
• Complete laboratory documentation, records, ISO documentation, training records, and sample logs.
• Maintain laboratory inventory, equipment, supplies, labware, and sample storage areas.
• Communicate results and operational needs while following quality, confidentiality, and safety requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field is preferred.
• Willingness to receive training in molecular biology techniques and R&D protocols.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately, with strong organization and attention to detail.
• Commitment to laboratory safety, quality standards, documentation, and recordkeeping.
• Team-oriented communication and a cooperative attitude.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.
