Software Engineer 1 - Android, Dynamic Experiences (Android/AI): Building mobile UI platforms and a cross-platform semantic rendering engine for dynamic experiences across financial products with an accent on Android development, AI-native interfaces, and developer tooling. Focus on delivering high-quality mobile platforms, integrating AI coding assistants, and creating rich user interfaces and flows with modern platform engineering practices.
Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with 3 days per week in the Toronto office
Base pay: CAD 94,000–127,000 per year, with potential cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do
- Deliver high-quality Android mobile UI platforms.
- Contribute to Player, a cross-platform semantic rendering engine powering dynamic experiences.
- Use AI coding assistants and modern development tools to write, test, and deploy code efficiently.
- Collaborate with teams and cross-functional partners to deliver product commitments.
- Apply Agile, Scrum, and/or Kanban development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Foundational understanding of Agile development, mobile software engineering, SDLC, and programming principles.
- Coursework, internships, personal projects, or academic experience with Java or Kotlin.
- Understanding of web services such as REST or SOAP.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
- Ability to work from the Toronto office 3 days per week.
