Senior R&D Scientist (Quantum Photonics)

What you will do

• Lead advanced testing strategies for SNSPD devices with a focus on scalability and throughput.
• Optimize device characterization methodologies, including potential wafer-level testing approaches.
• Develop and operate optical and cryogenic measurement setups.
• Analyze complex datasets to guide device design, process improvements, and experimental investigations.
• Collaborate with fabrication, packaging, engineering, R&D, and system teams to ensure compatibility with manufacturing flows.
• Document testing methodologies, results, and transferable best practices.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in experimental physics or a related field.
• Hands-on experience testing and characterizing optical or photonic systems.
• Knowledge of measurement science and metrology, including experience designing or improving experimental setups.
• Strong data analysis skills and the ability to work autonomously across multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

• PhD or additional experience in Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Five or more years of industry experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in optics or photonics experimentation.
• French language skills.
