Software Engineer III - Full Stack (Drupal)

Location: Remote within the United States; conditions listed as McLean, VA

Salary: $105,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Estimate and complete development work, including coding, requirements gathering, and analysis.
• Develop and maintain full-stack Drupal websites and applications for federal civilian customers.
• Assess and diagnose issues in owned systems, prioritize problem areas, and participate in on-call rotations.
• Participate in architecture, planning, code reviews, and engineering process improvements.
• Mentor junior developers and communicate technical work to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support recruiting by evaluating assignments and assisting with interviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of engineering experience; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Proven Drupal development experience.
• Strong proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
• Familiarity with Apache configurations and strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience hosting Drupal websites and applications on Acquia.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and ship features.
• Experience writing readable, efficient, and testable code, troubleshooting issues, and documenting solutions.
• Experience participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
