Senior Consultant, FedRAMP 20x Advisory (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates must verify eligibility to work in the United States. Limited travel to client locations may be required.

Salary: $150,000–$193,000 annual salary

What you will do

• Lead security and compliance assessments, gap analyses, client interviews, documentation reviews, and regulatory milestone preparation.
• Design client solutions mapped to FedRAMP 20x Key Security Indicators and translate outcome-based requirements into technical architectures.
• Build automated, code-based validation using scripts, APIs, Infrastructure-as-Code, and continuous compliance monitoring.
• Support vulnerability detection and response, FIPS 140-2/140-3 encryption advisory, authorization boundary diagrams, SIEM, and vulnerability management tooling.
• Track FedRAMP 20x releases and change requests, using AI/ML tools to organize requirements and develop practical client recommendations.
• Maintain client relationships, mentor team members, deliver quality work on schedule, and escalate engagement issues when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of professional services experience and 4+ years of FedRAMP or cloud security engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of FedRAMP 20x KSIs and strong technical acumen in cloud security.
• Experience with Terraform, Infrastructure-as-Code, scripting, automation, and continuous compliance validation or integrations.
• Active GitHub profile or portfolio demonstrating coding or cloud automation work; proficiency with Microsoft 365.
• Ability to work in the United States and complete employment eligibility verification; self-directed client-facing work and limited travel are required.

Nice to have

• Previous 3PAO experience and familiarity with testing in cloud environments.
• Interest in pursuing AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Security Specialty, or an Azure/GCP equivalent certification.
• Interest in deepening AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud engineering skills.
