Mule ESB Developer (MuleSoft)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $130,000–$180,000 annually, based on experience

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Anypoint Studio, and Mule Runtime.
• Architect API-led connectivity solutions with reusable System APIs, Process APIs, and Experience APIs.
• Build REST, SOAP, and GraphQL APIs and asynchronous integrations using DataWeave, RAML, and OpenAPI.
• Deploy and manage Mule applications across CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Implement API security, governance, monitoring, observability, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Lead architecture and code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, collaborate with stakeholders, and mentor integration engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of professional enterprise application integration experience, including 5+ years with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Expert proficiency with Anypoint Studio, DataWeave 2.x, Mule Runtime, API development, API-led connectivity, REST, SOAP, RAML, and OpenAPI.
• Experience with CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, hybrid, or on-premises deployments; API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, and Anypoint API Manager.
• Experience with event-driven architectures using Anypoint MQ, Kafka, JMS, or similar messaging technologies, plus enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, and Oracle ERP.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, EAD holder, or H-1B transfer candidate. New H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• MuleSoft Certified Developer, MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, or MuleSoft Platform Architect certification.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, FinOps, cloud cost optimization, or enterprise integration governance.
• Experience with Zero Trust API security, API lifecycle management, AsyncAPI, and event streaming architectures.
