TL;DR
Industry Product Leader (AI): Defining industry strategy, commercialization, integrated product roadmaps, and P&L priorities for a major software or SaaS industry with an accent on AI-enabled workflows, customer pain points, pricing, packaging, and portfolio health. Focus on sequencing AI and automation use cases, guiding technical building blocks such as APIs, data models, prompts, evaluations, and guardrails, and leading PM Builders toward measurable growth and customer outcomes.

What you will do
- Define industry strategy, commercialization priorities, growth theses, value pools, and measurable growth plans.
- Own the integrated industry roadmap and align investments with validated customer pain points and business impact.
- Set the sequencing and governance standards for AI, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled workflows.
- Lead pricing, packaging, commercial-play strategy, customer councils, executive discovery, and market feedback loops.
- Run business reviews and own industry P&L health, including margin, mix, pricing, and portfolio performance.
- Guide discovery, experimentation, instrumentation, and technical building blocks including events, APIs, data models, prompts, evaluations, and guardrails.
Requirements
- Typically 12+ years of experience in product, industry solutions, general management, or portfolio leadership in software or SaaS, with a Bachelor's degree; 8 years with a Master's degree or equivalent experience is also accepted.
- Experience owning industry strategy and P&L outcomes across multiple cycles, with executive presence and customer-facing credibility.
- Broad, authoritative expertise across a major industry and its adjacencies.
- People-management experience at scale, including goal-setting, performance management, and succession planning for PM Builders.
- Experience resolving complex industry issues involving market timing, regulatory shifts, and AI disruption.
- Must be based in the United States for the remote role.
Nice to have
- Experience setting pricing, packaging, and commercial-play strategy with product marketing.
- Experience driving margin and mix decisions and operating as a peer to go-to-market and delivery directors.
- Experience coordinating more junior Industry Product Managers as a Team Lead before formal people management.
