TL;DR
Global Solutions Engineer Telefonica (Cybersecurity): Supporting F5’s global Telefonica account and subsidiaries by designing, demonstrating, and validating application delivery and security solutions with an accent on telco cloud, 4G/5G mobile network architectures, data centers, and cloud infrastructure. Focus on leading technical presales for complex global accounts, building proof of concepts, mapping customer organizations, and aligning network, application security, DevOps, and AI infrastructure solutions with business objectives.
Location: Madrid, Spain; primarily based in Spain with flexibility to work remotely. Customer meetings are required for at least 50% of the time and may be remote or face to face.

What you will do
- Support the sales organization for the Telefonica global account and its subsidiaries across Spain, the UK, Germany, and Latin America.
- Present product strategy, positioning, value propositions, and technical solutions against customer business objectives.
- Design solutions, deliver sales presentations and demonstrations, and create proof of concepts through in-person and virtual formats.
- Assess opportunities and map the organizational structure of complex global accounts.
- Drive technical validation, sponsorship, and customer engagement in partnership with Account Managers.
- Collaborate with internal technical and sales resources while providing customer support throughout the customer lifecycle.
Requirements
- 8+ years of related industry experience and a BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience as a Solutions Engineer at Telefonica or another global telecommunications provider.
- Experience with data centers, virtualization, cloud computing, and AI Factory infrastructures.
- Knowledge of mobile network architectures and 3GPP protocols, especially 4G/5G, packet core, and telco cloud infrastructures.
- Knowledge of modern data center infrastructure, high-speed connections, IP routing, and BGP-EVPN.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, container orchestration such as Kubernetes or OpenShift, RFx processes, and network and application security.
- Fluent written and spoken English required.
