Software Eng II (C#/C++/.NET/React): Developing and improving PlayStation development tools and video streaming technology used by game developers, testers, artists, and producers, with an accent on desktop UI design, concurrency, and maintainable software architecture. Focus on analyzing customer requirements, building cross-functional desktop interfaces, writing unit tests, and resolving customer issues with support engineers.
Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid working policy applies
Base pay: €69,500–€104,300 per year

What you will do
- Analyze customer requirements and produce maintainable designs.
- Develop and deliver software work to schedule.
- Participate in code and documentation reviews.
- Estimate tasks and contribute to technical documentation.
- Collaborate with support engineers to resolve customer issues.
- Develop and improve video streaming technology and development tools used by game production teams.
Requirements
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong design and coding abilities.
- Commercial experience with C# and/or C++.
- Experience with .NET, WPF or Avalonia, React, and desktop UI design.
- Deep understanding of concurrency and related design patterns.
- Familiarity with software testing techniques, unit tests, and Git.
Nice to have
- Electron, Node.js, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Cross-platform development for Windows, Linux, and macOS.
- Reactive UI, gRPC, MFC, PostgreSQL, or xUnit.
