TL;DR
Technical Writer - Software Engineering (m/f/n) (Software Documentation/API): Creating and maintaining user-focused documentation for software, APIs, services, and integrations with an accent on technical accuracy, usability, and documentation quality. Focus on validating documentation in software environments, documenting complex engineering systems, and collaborating with engineers, architects, DevOps, QA, and product teams.
Location: Bratislava, Slovakia; hybrid
Basic wage component: from €2,300 gross per month, with the final amount based on skills and experience. Performance bonus is available twice per year, up to 10% of the basic salary for the evaluation period.

What you will do
- Create and maintain product content for software, APIs, services, and integrations.
- Develop user, deployment, administrator, API, troubleshooting, and release documentation.
- Review product changes and identify documentation requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
- Configure and test software environments to validate documentation and reproduce user scenarios.
- Report product defects, usability issues, and documentation gaps found during testing.
- Improve documentation standards, workflows, processes, and authoring tools, including AI-assisted tools.
Requirements
- Excellent written English and the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and concisely.
- At least 2 years of experience in technical writing, software documentation, engineering documentation, or a similar role.
- Understanding of APIs, authentication, authorization, databases, client-server architecture, microservices, and cloud services.
- Ability to work with technical specifications, engineering designs, logs, configuration files, and command-line tools.
- Comfort reading and editing Bash, PowerShell, YAML, JSON, or similar scripts and configuration files.
- Basic knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and Docker.
