Technology Design New Graduate (ICT)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; full-time in office. Travel of up to 50% may include local, domestic, and international business trips.

What you will do

• Assist with the design and analysis of structured cabling, audio/video, security, and other low-voltage ICT systems for buildings.
• Create technical designs, specifications, and calculations using engineering software, BIM tools, applicable codes, and hirify.global standards.
• Support project planning, scheduling, documentation, design progress tracking, and quality control.
• Interact with clients to gather requirements, explain technical information, and maintain professional relationships.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, and consultants to deliver coordinated building solutions.
• Analyze low- to medium-complexity engineering tasks, propose practical solutions, and contribute to safety, research, and innovation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in electrical, electronics, computer, information technology, computer science, a related engineering or STEM field, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of technical design methods, electrical voltage and current, digital and analog signals, and basic IT networking topologies and protocols as applied to low-voltage building systems.
• Basic knowledge of BIM software and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, collaboration, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including trips with overnight stays or air travel.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Internship experience in building design consulting.
• Engineering in Training (EIT) license.
