Cloud Security Engineer (Oracle)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design and implement enterprise security architectures for OCI tenancies, including landing-zone guardrails, security zones, and compartment policies.
• Configure identity domains, corporate identity federation, RBAC, OCI Vault, key rotation, and HSM integrations.
• Harden OCI compute, networking, and database workloads using CIS benchmarks and internal security standards.
• Operate Cloud Guard, Logging, Audit, Data Safe, and SIEM integrations for detection, monitoring, forensics, and data protection.
• Lead vulnerability management, compliance activities, threat modeling, architecture reviews, and OCI incident response.
• Develop security automation and maintain technical documentation using Python, Terraform, and OCI CLI/SDK; mentor application and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• Must be located in the United States and authorized to work there.
• 5+ years of cloud security experience with strong hands-on OCI experience; the posting also specifies 6+ years of overall experience.
• Deep experience with OCI Identity, IAM policies, identity federation, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vault, and Data Safe.
• Knowledge of cloud-native security frameworks, CIS benchmarks, vulnerability management, patching, and SIEM integration.
• Strong Python, Bash, and Terraform skills.
• Working knowledge of PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.

Nice to have

• Oracle Cloud Security Professional certification.
• CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent security certification.
• Experience with multi-cloud security architectures, SOAR platforms, automated incident response, or zero-trust architecture.
