Spain Design Lead (12 month contract)

Location: Hybrid role based in Madrid, Spain, with office attendance required 2–3 days per week. Full-time hours for a 12-month contract.

Compensation: Day rate; candidates must submit their day rate.

What you will do

• Develop and execute the creative vision for Spanish-market content in partnership with the Country Manager and Content Strategy Lead.
• Lead the creation, curation, and quality control of localized templates and design elements across graphics, photos, video, social media, presentations, websites, and print.
• Use AI tools and repeatable workflows to scale content production, accelerate iteration, and improve efficiency.
• Analyze content performance, identify gaps and discoverability issues, and use insights to guide the content roadmap.
• Manage local freelance designers and creators, including recruitment, briefing, output review, and development.
• Coordinate with Marketing, SEO, Community, Product, and regional stakeholders while managing timelines, risks, priorities, and communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience in creative leadership, ideally across international, regional, or market-level initiatives.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality design work and culturally resonant content campaigns.
• Experience collaborating with SEO, Growth, Marketing, and Product teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and storytelling skills, with a results-focused approach.
• Experience managing freelancers or creators and working effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments.

• Experience creating content specifically for local markets and translating cultural insights into design direction.
