Senior Data Science Consultant

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; work may take place from home, at customer locations, or at the Amsterdam office.

What you will do

• Develop explanatory and predictive decision-support models using supervised and unsupervised learning, econometrics, forecasting, and quantitative diagnostics.
• Design and implement constrained optimization solutions and simulation models.
• Apply algorithms to process large volumes of unstructured data.
• Manage end-to-end consulting projects, reporting progress to managers and clients.
• Build client relationships, contribute to proposals, and identify new collaboration opportunities.
• Supervise consultants and support the development of their technical and soft skills.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as computer science, econometrics, statistics, or operations research.
• At least 3 years of relevant data science experience.
• Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of statistics and quantitative analysis.
• Advanced Python programming skills and a solid foundation in scripting or compiled languages, including R, MATLAB, JavaScript, Bash, C++, or Java; UNIX/Linux experience is also relevant.
• Strong interest in data and AI-related topics and the ability to work effectively with clients and teams.
• Professional Dutch and English are essential; Dutch speakers are required.
