Video Production Intern - Events & Media Programs (Startup Programs)

Location: Hybrid or remote options are listed, but the role requires on-site presence in Toronto for event coverage and production activities.

Compensation: $32 CAD per hour

What you will do

• Capture high-quality footage during events, interviews, and on-site activities.
• Operate cameras and professional lighting and audio equipment.
• Edit and produce polished videos for social media, promotional materials, and internal use.
• Attend and document hirify.global events, highlighting key moments and stories.
• Collaborate with marketing and media teams to align video content with brand and storytelling goals.
• Keep current with video production, storytelling, and digital media trends.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Master's degree in film, media production, communications, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in videography and video editing, with a portfolio or reel available.
• Confidence using cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
• Fluency in at least one professional video editing suite.
• Comfort working on location and filming live events in Toronto is required.
• Strong collaboration, written, and verbal communication skills, with an interest in storytelling.

Nice to have

• Interest in AI, startups, innovation, and funding ecosystems.
• Experience with grant writing, research, or funding applications.
