Senior Software Engineer (Medical Devices)

hirify.global develops eye-care technologies, while its subsidiary WaveLight develops and produces laser systems for eye surgery and surgical planning and image guidance for cataract procedures.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications for WaveLight and VARION medical devices.
• Implement software using C# and C++ in a Windows-based environment.
• Participate in software design, testing, debugging, and release activities across the product lifecycle.
• Work with Qt frameworks and contribute to software architecture discussions and technical improvements.
• Collaborate with local and global engineering teams in a surgical R&D environment.
• Support development in a regulated medical-device environment and maintain quality and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 7 years of software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in C# and C++.
• Experience developing applications for Windows-based environments.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and release processes.
• Fluent English required; German language skills are preferred.

• Experience with Qt.
• Experience in the medical-device industry or another regulated environment.
