Lead Product Software Engineer (.NET)

Location: Milan, Italy, with a hybrid working model and smart working

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and technical evolution of data-centric applications and platform services.
• Define engineering standards, integration patterns, APIs, reusable capabilities, and scalable technical solutions.
• Design and implement ingestion, processing, storage, serving, monitoring, and integration components for analytics and reporting.
• Contribute to data models, semantic layers, shared services, benchmarks, dashboards, and data products.
• Apply AI-assisted and specification-driven development practices, including OpenSpec or equivalent methodologies.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, performance, security, observability, and cost efficiency while mentoring developers.

Requirements

• Strong experience in software engineering, product development, or platform engineering.
• Solid backend development experience, ideally with .NET.
• Experience designing data-intensive applications, APIs, integrations, or platform services.
• Understanding of data ingestion, transformation, storage, serving, and analytical consumption patterns.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools and familiarity with specification-driven engineering approaches such as OpenSpec.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Synapse, Power BI, or equivalent data and analytics technologies.
• Knowledge of DataOps, observability, data governance, monitoring, and cost optimization.
• Experience with large-scale data processing, benchmarking services, enterprise data products, Agile, or cross-functional environments.
