Senior Security Engineer, AI & Automation

What you will do

• Design and develop production-grade automation and AI capabilities for scalable security operations.
• Review and approve CI/CD pipelines, automation workflows, integrations, and AI-enabled systems connected to production security platforms.
• Build and maintain reliable, secure, and observable API-driven integrations across security technologies, cloud services, AI platforms, and operational tools.
• Lead agentic and AI-assisted workflows for investigation, enrichment, correlation, triage, and response with guardrails, auditability, and human oversight.
• Establish engineering standards for automation development, testing, code review, change management, and platform reliability.
• Partner with Incident Response, Detection Engineering, Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting, and platform engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in software, platform, security, or automation engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and GitLab CI/CD, including production pipeline review and troubleshooting.
• Experience building API-driven integrations using REST APIs, OAuth or token-based authentication, pagination, rate limiting, error handling, and service-to-service communication.
• Experience designing, developing, or operating AI-assisted, agentic, or LLM-powered solutions, including output validation, failure-mode analysis, and safeguards.
• Strong written communication skills, including design documents, architecture decision records, implementation plans, and technical reviews.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vertex AI, ADK, LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar AI-agent frameworks.
• Experience with Tines, SOAR platforms, workflow orchestration, or large-scale security automation programs.
• Experience with Detection-as-Code, security content pipelines, credential management, least-privilege architectures, secrets management, or production security controls.
• Experience integrating CrowdStrike, ServiceNow, cloud security services, SIEM platforms, or related enterprise security technologies.
