Consultant (Government & Public Sector Projects)

What you will do

• Conduct desktop research, literature reviews, policy reviews, benchmarking studies, and economic, social, political, and regulatory monitoring.
• Gather, analyze, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources.
• Support stakeholder interviews, focus groups, consultations, and coordination with government agencies and industry representatives.
• Prepare research reports, policy papers, strategic recommendations, PowerPoint presentations, briefing materials, and executive summaries.
• Attend client meetings and workshops, maintain meeting minutes and action trackers, and support timely project delivery.
• Present research findings and project updates to internal teams and clients when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; up to two years of relevant consulting, research, public policy, or economic analysis experience is an advantage.
• Strong research, analytical, communication, presentation, stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• English proficiency is required.

Nice to have

• Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia, spoken and written, for engagement with government agencies and review of policy and regulatory documents.
• Curiosity, entrepreneurial thinking, customer focus, self-starting behavior, and interest in disruptive trends.
